Marble floors are typically found in the highly trafficked areas. These include the lobbies of Offices and Hotels, and our living rooms at home. Over time, the traffic deposits various acidic and alkaline substances on the surface of the floor, which slowly eats away at the marble surface. This is why as a start, we always begin with a thorough surface cleaning with a pH neutral cleaner that neutralizes excess surface acidity / alkalinity to prepare the surface for our deep cleaning process. Furthermore, Marble is also porous and this treatment opens up the pores for a deeper clean.
Precious Diamond Powder mixed in with Crystalline Microabrasives are applied to the surface. Marble is a hard stone, and to really bring out its shine we polish the floor with the hardest material known to men. Using specialized marble polishing marchines, we then buff the marble floor at speeds of up to 300 revolutions per minute. At such speeds, immense heat is generated. The heat activates the polishing powder and together with the abrasion that burnishes the surface to a high shine. With diamonds, even the deepest scratches on your marble floor will be removed in no time
After a round of deep floor polishing, our experienced technicians then carefully examine the floor for imperfections. Whatever scratches left are removed by spot application of diamond powder mix followed by vigorous polishing with a hand tool. At this point, your marble floor should be immaculate. We then perform one more round of cleaning with a pH neutral detergent. This gets rid of the acidity from the polishing powder, and readies your marble floor for sealing, where the luster is sealed in and protected
After a round of marble floor polishing, your floor will look glossy and clean. The challenge then is to keep it that way. The problem with marble is that it is porous and can be easily stained. Marble is easily stained by wine, juices, rust, and even water. To protect your marble and ensure that it keeps its luster for a longer time, we have an optional service to apply our specialised marble sealant which prevents spills and stains from seeping into your marble floor. This lets your marble stay clean and glossy for a longer duration

Marble becomes dull when the surface has been eroded on a frmicroscopic level and no longer reflects light as effectively. What this also means is that the eroded surface is more susceptible to stains and further erosion. Therefore, it is said that marble is something that deteriorates at an increasing rate if not maintained. If you do not polish and seal your marble frequently, it will cost much more to restore it in the long term when surfaces are more eroded, and stains have seeped deep into the porous stone. For building owners and tenants, it is thus important to get your marble floors constantly maintained and polished. Your marble floor will look good all of the time, and it actually saves you money in terms of long term maintenance!
When all is said and done, the main reason why marble flooring is chosen in the first place as a building material is often because good polished marble floors give off an aura of respectability, of something grandiose. That purpose would be completely defeated if the marble is left unmaintained – you would’ve been better off choosing just a tile floor. Having spent no small sum of money on marble flooring, it makes sense to spend just that little more to keep it looking its best!
